The watchers

Burning, burning forever underground forced to follow you all around.
                  That is their duty.
                  Their punishment.
                  Their time.
That is their sentence for their crime.
Their shadow is you, your shadows are them.
This is their punishment, much worse than Hell.
They wander forever, with no time to tell.
Their assignment is you, and everyone too.
                  They are the undead crew.
Watching, and waiting and following you.
They disappear in the night, to bring about fright
They hide under your bed, and they mess with your head.
You barely notice them, the light produces them.
They follow you, they follow everyone.
Again when you die their first shift is done, they follow the sun.
They live in darkness, like a bat in a cave.
In an underworld, of burning graves, your death is what they crave, cause they hope to be done, to forever die, but to themselves they are telling a lie.
Trapped down there forever, not able to speak, they have your face; they’re hungry and weak.
Emotionless except for what you feel, they cause you paranoia, depression, anxiety, they give you feelings that all humans feel, because we all have shadows coming off of our heels, these human emotions, caused by subliminal fear, envelop everybody every day, because you know they are here, they give you nightmares, they cause you bad luck, this is their revenge on you, because they’re parasites through and through, following, feeding, hoping you die.
They follow you, all of you, all of the time
You wont know they’re there, only if you look, but look away, you might have mistook, It’s a shadow, NO it’s something more, it’s you, your emotions, in this constant war, going, and going on, and on,
Forever and ever, constantly watching and waiting and following you….
